It is a pleasure to invite you to this free webinar from the Galileo Commission’s Consciousness Education project. Over the past two years, a group of educators has been exploring how consciousness can be meaningfully integrated into education across a range of contexts—from universities to community-based programs.
In this 90-minute session, we will spotlight four educators, who will share what they have been developing in practice, and what is changing as a result. Their work offers concrete examples of how consciousness can be introduced in ways that are both grounded and applicable.
Across these projects, a common pattern is emerging: when learning includes direct experience and attention to inner life, it begins to transform learners from the inside out—shifting not only what they think, but their sense of agency, meaning, and possibility.
The session will offer practical approaches and reflections that participants can adapt to their own settings, while also providing insight into a broader shift already underway in education.
During the webinar, Dr Joan Walton, Dr Laurel Waterman and Dr Marjorie Woollacott will be sharing their experience of the creative work that is emerging from the project. They will also launch the new website, which will provide the opportunity for news about the project to be shared, and for educators to share the work that they are doing.
This event is part of the Galileo Commission, a project of the Scientific and Medical Network.
