Event Description

‘Pan-Episteme’ is a term derived from the Greek, combining ‘Pan’ meaning all, the one, the universal, and ‘Episteme’ meaning knowledge, science and understanding. It signifies a holistic, integrative approach to knowledge that transcends disciplinary boundaries, bringing together insights from science, philosophy and ancient wisdom traditions.

In this first episode, Dr Athena Potari (a practical philosopher) & Dr Vasileios Basios (a theoretical physicist) revisit a timeless question: Is the universe
conscious?

Ancient civilisations, including the Hellenic worldview, saw Consciousness, Nous and Psyche as foundational, prior to matter. Today, quantum physics, Near-Death Experiences (NDEs), and various philosophical schools & traditions are reviving this discourse under the theme of Panpsychism in all its diverse forms.
The project invites & unites scholars, scientists and wisdom keepers in a self-reflective dialogue, fostering a pan-epistemic approach – combining empirical precision with philosophical insight to deepen our understanding of consciousness and its place in the universe.

You can find the initial episode on YouTube, and we invite you to watch it before the meeting.

Vasileios and Athena will be joined on a dialogue panel by Dr Rupert Sheldrake, Dr Steve Minett and Dr Steve Taylor – a session not be to missed!
