QUOTES FROM THIS EPISODE
I understood that all we need to do to become truly knowledgeable is to Know Ourselves – to recognise Who We Really Are. To recognise that we are infinite awareness, we are part of everything and everyone; then we will truly know ourselves. So then I said, OK – how can I integrate now these two things into my university career?
It was fascinating to watch the two sides of our society and it’s worldview. The sad thing is that materialists think that it’s an “either /or”phenomenon. What I am saying as a neuroscientist now is that it’s a “both/ and” phenomenon: we can use the understanding from science to understand consciousness but we Also need to use the understanding from the subjective point-of-view of turning within to know ourselves – and that’s what I was trying to teach my students.
