AK Mukhopadhyay – The Source and the Genesis: In the Language of Science
We are heading towards a new science of information, the science of life, multiversal immersive neuroscience, depth psychology, deep ecology, life-primed physics, and consciousness-primed biology with an entirely new Worldview that simultaneously accommodates the science, humanity, and the spirit.
AK Mukhopadhyay – Humanities and Spirit in Cell Science
Molecules, although, form the basis of behavior, the cell operates with non-observable human faculties such as information, mind, self, and ‘life’, and the operational attributes of consciousness such as will, cognition, and emotion/feelings. Hints to the solutions to several complex big issues that humanity has been facing such as violence, free will, dark energy, and the parallel universe, could be obtained from the intelligent behavior of a cell. The protoplasm of a cell, psychoplasm of the psyche, and ‘plasm’ of multiple universe(s) are brought into focus and suggested to operate in continuity.
AK Mukhopadhyay – Underlying Humanities in a Molecular Cell
While science is mandated for discovering “life”, we are engaged in the ‘chemistry-as-life’ or ‘physics-as-life’ paradigm with machine-metaphor everywhere! The whole explanation of photosynthesis by plants and quorum sensing in the bacterial colony is based on chemistry and physics. The focus is on signal-based automated molecular robots directed by the molecular clock and molecular memory ignoring the obvious, the autonomous behavior of a cell. Machine learning is preferred to the way a cell learns! Synthetic biology and artificial life are diamond points in cell science!
A Quest for Wisdom: Inspiring Purpose on the Path of Life – David Lorimer
This wide-ranging and highly-acclaimed volume brings together 25 of his essays written over the last 40 years. Among the significant thinkers featured here are many who have shone their light on his path, and which can provide enriching nourishment for readers on their own life journeys. The essays explore philosophy, meaning and spirituality; consciousness, death and transformation; and responsibility, ethics and society - all themes central to the Scientific and Medical Network, with which David has been associated for over 35 years and for whose journal, Paradigm Explorer, he has reviewed over 150 books a year. As such, these perceptive and illuminating essays explore the nature of life and death, questions of meaning and purpose, and the challenge of how we can live more harmoniously together. David hopes that readers will be inspired, as Albert Schweitzer put it, in our common task ‘to become more finely and deeply human.’
Where Airy Voices Lead
The important point made by the author, though, is that there is no conclusive proof for any particular view, including the materialist scientific view. He further argues that rationality is present in views dismissed by materialists as irrational and unintelligible, since ‘they are all grounded in perfectly legitimate metaphysical philosophies about the nature of reality and how the world might work.’ He rightly highlights that the key issue is that psychic and transcendent experiences ‘do not fit into the materialist framework, which is only one of several possible worldviews’ – there is no unbiased standpoint without presuppositions from which one can arrive at an impartial view. Hence, he writes that the question of immortality ‘is not a clash of evidence, but of worldviews and their interpretation.’
Bridging Science and Spirit
We arrive at a conclusion that science is a path to self-knowledge and that ‘Science and Spirit are a necessary unity.’ At the time of writing, people are coming together to meditate whereby we create a field ‘raising the symmetry of space’ and creating an atmosphere that is coherent and palpable in sacred places. In the case of advanced saints and sages like Padre Pio, this may even result in the physical body becoming incorruptible, somehow transforming the very matter normally subject to entropic decay. All this gives pause for thought, while the book as a whole points way beyond our current conceptual limits.
Physicalist Materialism: The Dying Throes of an Inadequate Paradigm – Stephan A. Schwartz
These studies and experiments spread across many disciplines, using different protocols, are often dismissed by physicalists who find the very idea of nonlocal consciousness, to quote American psychologists and physicalists James Alcock and Arthur Reber, to be “impossible.” And yet this position, when the research is closely examined, is seen as a statement of ideology or belief, not a statement of science.
Subquantum Principles of Life and Consciousness – Adrian Klein & Robert Boyd
Our present contribution to the consciousness-related dialogue currently running in the "Waking Times" periodical has been triggered by Brandon West's thrilling, recently published paper (Jan. 9, 2015), "The Nature of Mind and the Holographic Brain".
The Case Against Vaccine Passports and Mandates – Oliver Robinson
In summary, arguments at all four levels analysed here point in the same direction: vaccine passports and mandates must be dropped immediately by any country or state that has adopted them. Vaccines have protected the elderly and vulnerable from COVID-19 since being rolled out, but that does not by any means equate to becoming a requirement for participation in society and the economy. Liberal democracies must trust the foundational principles of informed consent, bodily autonomy and equality of opportunity. We must respect those who draw different conclusions from what remains an inconclusive situation in relation to vaccine side-effects and benefits. The story is still unfolding.
